Summer has delighted us with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures. There are so many things happening on Whidbey Island, it is hard to keep track of them all. But in the midst of all these happenings, please remember to sign up for the Slow Food Whidbey Island BBQ and Smoked Meat Class.
Do not miss this opportunity to learn to grill and smoke the tastiest meats, fish and vegetables and win raves at your next BBQ. Socialize with other Slow Food supporters and friends as you eat and taste amazing food.
“How To” Techniques and samples include Pulled Pork, Tri-Tip Beef, Chicken, Salmon and Vegetables including carrots, and leeks presented by George Petrich and Joe Whiserand. These chefs will offer techniques for BBQ and smoked meats in a Weber Kettle Grill.
The Menu features grilled and smoked meats, a Grilled Romaine Caesar salad along with desserts including Kiki’s Famous Coconut Cake, Butterscotch Pudding with Whipped Cream and Champagne Sherbet.
Please bring your own folding chair, eating utensils, plates, BYOB and a side-dish to share.
Cost: $35.00 for members, $40 for non-members
