Slow Food Whidbey Island is offering a 2-day Foraging Event with Karen Achabal.
On Saturday, July 20 AT 5:30 pm Karen will do a presentation at Deer Lagoon Grange about foraging on Whidbey Island. She will bring some of the produce she has collected and demonstrate some recipes using foraged ingredients. Afterwards we will have a potluck dinner and Karen will be available to talk about her presentation and dishes. Cost for this part of the event will be $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members.
On Sunday, July 21 from 1:00 pm to 3:15 pm, Karen will lead a foraging group at South Whidbey State Park. This part of the event will be limited to 15 people. Cost will be $10.00 for members and $15 for non-members.
